The annual White House Correspondents’ Association dinner was held on Saturday without the attendance of the President for the first time in 36 years. Nevertheless, headlining comedian Hasan Minhaj persisted, and roasted President Donald Trump anyway. “I would say it is an honor to do this, but that would be an alternative fact. It is not. No one wanted to do this so of course it falls in the hands of an immigrant. That’s how it always goes down,” Minhaj cracked during his opening monologue. Noting Trump’s absence, the Muslim Daily Show correspondent added, “Historically, the president usually performs at the correspondents’ dinner, but I think I speak for all of us when I say he’s done far too much bombing this month.”

A hacker posted episodes from the upcoming season of Orange Is the New Black on Saturday, after Netflix failed to give in to the hacker’s demand for ransom. According to MarketWatch, the hacker (known as thedarkoverlord) wrote on Saturday, “It didn’t have to be this way, Netflix. You’re going to lose a lot more money in all of this than what our modest offer was.” On Friday, Netflix said it was aware of the situation and the Associated Press reported that the FBI was investigating. The hacker posted the completed ten (of 13 total) episodes on The Pirate’s Bay. Netflix had previously planned to release the new season on June 9.

Val Kilmer has finally confirmed rumors that he was battling cancer. According to Variety, Kilmer made the admission (sort of) in a recent Reddit AMA. When a fan asked the actor about Michael Douglas’s claims that Kilmer had terminal cancer last fall, he responded, “He was probably trying to help me cause press probably asked where I was these days, and I did have a healing of cancer. But my tongue is still swollen altho [sic] healing all the time. Because I don’t sound my normal self yet people think I may still be under the weather.” It remains unclear, however, what Kilmer meant by “healing of cancer.”
