In Japan they really know how to get their crowds fired up.  In Yokohoma, Japan when the manager signals to the bullpen for a reliever, he doesn’t just jog out to the mound.  No he slips into a sports car and gets driven out which gets the fans standing up on their feet, stomping, singing and having the time of their lives.

Can you imagine if Major League Baseball teams “borrowed” this idea and just think of the many ways the relief help could go from behind the outfield fences to the hill.  Just imagine one being shot out of a cannon, okay maybe that’s not a good idea but seeing Roberto Osuna make his way to the Rogers Centre mound on a motorcycle would be AMAZING.
