Remembering Former Councillor And Mayor Of Capreol, Dave Kilgour

Former city councillor and Capreol Mayor Dave Kilgour has passed away.

Details about his death have not been released as of yet.

Kilgour was a former teacher and principal with the Rainbow for 32 years before retiring in 1999.

Kilgour lost the 2014 municipal election in Ward 7 to Mike Jakubo who wrote on his Facebook page “Whether you agreed with his political views or not, I know that Dave was always seen as the voice of reason at the council table.’

Mayor Brian Bigger said “Dave’s decades of service to our community exemplify the dedication and vision he brought to each organization he was a part of in Capreol, Greater Sudbury and beyond.”
