Watch for Delays This Week On City Roads

Construction of a sidewalk and boulevard from Silver Hills Drive to just west of Bancroft Drive on the north side of the Kingsway will begin today.

This will close the westbound curb lane between Silver Hills and Bancroft, but the centre lane will be dedicated to westbound traffic.

Maley Drive Extension construction will require lane closures on MR 80 for 2.2. km north of Turner Avenue for rock blasting.

Blasting will stop traffic in both directions for about 15 minutes between 9 and 4 pm until August 31st.

Sudbury Police will also be escorting ten oversized loads through the city over the next three days that may cause some delays.

The trucks will be carrying material for the Maley Drive interchange and will cause delays on Paris, the Kingsway, Brady and Notre Dame.
