He’s watched his other One Direction band mates thrive with the releases of their solo singles and now Zayn Malik is back with his latest offering, an R&B smash called ‘Dusk Til Dawn’ and he’s enlisted the help of one of the best singer-songwriters in the game today, Sia!

The action packed video (which you can see above), features car chases, explosives and of course mystery in what looks like a mini action movie.

The video stars Jemima Kirke, who is best known for playing ‘Jessa’ in the HBO series, Girls.

Marc Webb directed the video; he also directed 500 Days of Summer and The Amazing Spider-Man.

Zayn actually first teased the single on Twitter when he thanked fans for his MTV Video Music Award win for ‘Best Collaboraiton’ for ‘I Don’t Wanna Live Forever’ with Taylor Swift…

‘Dusk Til Dawn’ will appear on Zayn’s second solo album, which has yet to be named and yet to be given a release date.

In a recent interview with V MAN, Zayn did mention that his sophomore album will contain elements of pop, R&B and soul. He also says his song-writing has improved significantly from his 2016 debut solo album, Mind of Mine, “I feel like my songwriting definitely developed just because I’ve been doing it so much. I feel like the songs are a bit more organized, where I felt like, before, that Mind of Mine was a brainstorm. That’s why I called it Mind of Mine, because it was ideas that I had that I put out. This one is more thought out. I had more time to process everything and go through it all. It’s an evolution.”

That album featured the hit single, ‘Pillowtalk’.

Sia’s inclusion on ‘Dusk Til Dawn’ is a welcome surprise and adds Zayn to her long list of collaborators, which includes Rihanna, Katy Perry, Kelly Clarkson etc…).

Last month, Sia announced that she was recording her first Christmas album.

In a statement from Atlantic Records Chairman Juia Greenwald she said, “Sia is a once-in-a-generation artist. Her extraordinary gifts as a singer and songwriter, her revolutionary approach to the art of performing, her groundbreaking videos – everything she does comes from a deep wellspring of inspiration and imagination. Sia is that rare artist who has formed her own singular, boundless musical universe.”

What do you think of ‘Dusk Til Dawn’? I think it’s a SICK slow jam and might be my favourite solo record from Zayn.

Let us know what you think!
