Get ready for a “Sonic the Hedgehog” movie!

Paramount Pictures is turning the SEGA game franchise into a live action / CGI animation film. Sega Genesis video game console was released in 1991.

“Deadpool” director Tim Miller will be the producer.

Here’s a description of the movie from Deadline:
It will “focus on Sonic’s rivalry with characters from the video game, including his evil nemesis Dr. Eggman. Sonic uses his stature as world’s fastest hedgehog to move at supersonic speed to protect his friends from their enemies.”
