Maison McCulloch Hospice will be adding 10 more beds thanks to a 2 million dollar investment from the province.

There will be four patient beds and six respite care beds.

Executive Director Leo Therrien says this announcement opens the doors for other sources of funding.

Sudbury MPP Glenn Thibeault says this will help alleviate a occupancy rate at the hospice that consistently runs at about 94%.

Construction on the new beds will begin in 2018.
