When did you realize you’d fallen in love? Often times, the answer is, “I knew right away. It was love at first sight”.

Even Prince Harry says he knew his fiancée, Meghan Markle, was the one “the very first time we met”, he said in their first interview together as an engaged couple.

But is there such a thing as love at first sight? A new study says….no, which would mean Prince Harry was really just experiencing the rush of lust. But how did they come to this conclusion?

A group of psychologists and researchers at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands studied 32 people and concluded that “love at first sight reported at actual first sight resembles neither passionate love nor love more general”.

They say that love at first sigh doesn’t exist and “is not a distinct form of love, but rather a strong initial attraction” and we just call it love at first sight ‘”either in the moment of first sight or retrospectively.”

Have you experienced ‘love at first sight’? Did the relationship work out? What did you feel when you first saw the person?
