The Sudbury arena/event centre story just took another twist as a local business man has filed documents declaring a conflict of interest against Ward 12 Councillor Joscelyne Landry-Altmann.

Andre Dumais says he heard rumours that Landry-Altmann was a director on the board of the Sudbury District Motorsports Association at the time of the arena vote and after gathering evidence he had to do something.

Before the vote Ward 3 Councillor Gerry Montpellier declared conflict of interest because he was involved in the motor sports scene in Sudbury.

Dumais says he hopes this will force council to revisit the decision because Landry-Altmann was one of the votes against the downtown when it was defeated with in a tie 6-6.

Dumais thinks the hearing will begin in January and there is a chance the courts could remove Landry-Altmann from council and ban her from running in the next seven years.
