Sometimes, kids run away from home. But how often do they run away from home and all the way across the country?!

A 12-year-old Australian boy is putting Macaulay Culkin aka Kevin McAllister’s “Home Alone 2: Lost in New York” adventure to shame!

The kid (who remains anonymous for legal reasons) got into a fight with his mom, stole her credit card and booked a flight from his home in Australia to Indonesia, where he spent four days in a luxury, 4* hotel.

His worried parents filed a missing persons report when he didn’t show up for school.

This little genius (ya gotta give him credit) planned the whole thing out!

He researched which airlines would allow let him fly without his parents, he tricked his grandma into giving him his passport, he used his mom’s credit card to book the flight, he took a train to the airport, he used the self-check-in service and then he got on a flight to to Indonesia.

Once he landed in Bali, how did he get to the hotel? He rented a bicycle.

How did a 12-year-old check into a hotel without an adult?
He apparently tells the hotel attendant that his older sister is coming but he had to check in early, before her.

And that’s it! He then spent several days living in luxury at this swanky hotel. Eventually, the jig was up and his mom, Emma flew there to bring him home. Hopefully he enjoyed the adventure because he is likely going to be grounded for the rest of his adolescent life.

His mom tells an Australian TV show A Current Affair that she was “shocked” and “disgusted” adding, “There is no emotion to explain how we felt when we found he had left for overseas.”

She says her son doesn’t like the word ‘no’.
