A 55-year old man had to be taken to hospital after he fell in a sinkhole on his property in Garson.

Police were called around 11:30 am to the home on O’Neil Drive West and Falconbridge Road after the man went to inspect a sink hole when the ground gave way and he fell in.

The ground then shifted causing him to fall further, crushing him inside the hole.

Officers arrived and extended a blanket pulling him to safety.
