Adele marked the one year anniversary of the deadly fire in London’s Grenfell Tower housing complex by spending time with survivors on Thursday.

As seen in footage shared by ITV, the Grammy and Oscar-winning singer stood among grieving families and sang along to Simon & Garfunkel’s “Bridge Over Troubled Water” and Bill Withers’ “Lean on Me.”

The massive fire ripped through the 24-story apartment tower on June 14, 2017, where it burned up to 1,800 degrees. Of the 293 residents in the building, 72 were killed and 70 others were injured.
