A Garson couple who have been playing Lotto 6/49 every Wednesday since the draw started in 1982 are the winners of 9.3 million dollars.

Roger and Therese Sirois have been together for 50 years and decided to check their ticket on the OLG app the day after the July 11th draw and saw “big winner.”

Therese said it was like having an out-of-body experience.

The couple invited their two sons over the weekend to share the news and tell them they are moving to Toronto.

Therese is a retired CRA employee, and Roger is an ex-military veteran of 35 years, they plan to share the money with the family and buy a house closer to their sons and grandchildren in Toronto and perhaps a family vacation is also on the horizon.

The winning ticket was purchased at the Garson Mini Mart on Falconbridge Highway in Garson.
