The trailer for Insatiable, a new Netflix comedy series is sparking outrage online.

Why? Well, the story-line seems innocent enough. It’s about an overweight high school girl named Patty who deals with normal teenager problems like bullies and crushes who don’t like you back.

What’s got people upset is when the story takes a turn and Patty gets punched in the face, has her jaw wired shut for months and then loses a bunch of weight. When she goes back to school in the fall, she’s thin and considered a ‘hottie’. She uses this new confidence and power to get back at the bullies who were mean to her when she was overweight.
