It’s been almost 50-years since a rare Tornado blasted through the communities of Lively, Copper Cliff, parts of Sudbury and beyond.

On August 20th, 1970, the massive storm lifted some houses off their foundations, collapsed garages and caused more than $ 17-million dollars damage across the area.

Six people were killed and more than 200-others injures in the storm that brought winds of more than 160-kilometres an hour.
