There’s been a tragic end to the story of a local family with a newborn who needed a transplant.  We told you about Dean and Sherri Waddel’s youngest son Killian who was born September 4th with a heart condition that requires him to get a new heart.

His mom Sherri wrote on the Killian”s Courage Facebook page yesterday.

Our little Bean is gone. Killian died, fighting like hell, at 11:45 this morning. Dean and I were with him through the fight, and were able to hold him for his last few minutes. It all happened very quickly. We’ve been with him today, and just said our goodbyes. Thank you to every single person who has been following his life. I said to Dean that I’m so happy that I did this page. Killian was known and thought of by all of you. He was here and he mattered to a lot of people.

Thanks everyone.

KiSS Mornings with Shannon & Gary: Saying Goodbye to Killian

Originally Aired: October 16, 2018

Thousands of dollars was raised through a Go Fund Me page to help cover the rising costs of Sherri staying in Toronto and Dean coming down to visit with their other sons. The Go Fund Me Page is HERE

As it mentioned on that page, all money was given to Sheri and Dean and if there is money left over after all expenses are paid down the road it would be donated to Sick Kids.

We spoke to Killians grandmother Carol St Georges on Friday morning and let her know that we received her text about her grandson.
