This year marks the 60th Anniversary of the Sudbury Santa Claus Parade and while the youngsters are getting revved up for the big day, the elves and reindeer are also in full preparation mode.

First off … here is the parade route all the floats will follow this year.

The festivities start with a full day of fun at the Santa Watch Party will be held at the TD Canada Trust Parking Lot, corner of Durham and Cedar Street with many children’s activities being offered.  The parade itself begins at 5:30 pm sharp on Saturday November 17th winding its way through the downtown core of the city with this year’s magical 60 Years of Christmas Magic.  Come out and watch the parade of lights and sounds leading up to our very special guest Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus and their reindeer.  The direction of the parade west on Ste. Anne, south on Elgin, and east on Cedar, north on Durham, east on Elm, and finally north on Elm. With a dynamic display of fireworks (approximately 5:15 pm) lighting up the Sudbury Saturday Night at the commencement of the parade.
