Ripley’s is officially the first attraction in Canada to receive this designation, which comes with intensive autism sensitivity and awareness training.

Sensory-friendly days at Ripley’s Aquarium means increased lighting, a music-free environment and a quiet room for guests who need a break.

When are the sensory days?
– April 2nd, 7th, 14th and 28th
– The first Sunday of the month for the rest of 2019

Autism Ontario’s Family Support Coordinator, Sinthea Chowdhury says:
Being the first Canadian attraction to be an Autism Certified Center means more inclusivity, sensory integration and access to an invaluable community experience. We hope to see more Canadian attractions follow suit and foster a welcoming and barrier free environment.
