Before kicking off his residency, Ed had a backstage chat with James Corden, where he shared details about soccer, fatherhood, and music, “I’ve done the loop-pedal thing for 15 years.  I feel like something has to change on the next tour. That doesn’t necessarily mean it has to be a band, but I’m trying it out and seeing how it feels.”

Ed also hung out with Reggie Watts, where they asked one another questions.

James and Ed also killed two hours on The Late Late Show and had some ‘Cowboy Training.’

For the first time since releasing his new single, Ed performed Bad Habits.  Watch below.

Ed also performed The A Team, which is off his 2011 album,+ (Plus).

Ed then closed out his week-long residency with a performance of Shape of You and Thinking Out Loud.

Days before his late show residency, Ed released Bad Habits, behind-the-scenes video.  Transforming himself into a vampire, Ed tweeted, “This was a lot of fun to shoot, apart from the jumping off a building bit x.”  The music video was directed by Dave Meyers and Ed shared,  “I’m just really enjoying working with Dave because I have never, ever looked like this before.”

And, Bad Habits is now No. 1 in the UK.
