Halsey has joined the concert production of The Nightmare Before Christmas that will play at the Hollywood Bowl for a three-night run just before Halloween. The singer will take on the role of Sally for the first two nights before Catherine O’Hara, the movie’s original voice actor, arrives for the third. The performances are set for October 27, 28, and 29 in honor of the 1993 movie’s 30th anniversary. Danny Elfman, who wrote the music for the original film, will voice Jack Skellington on all three nights. Fred Armisen will also be on hand as Lock, and Ken Page will voice Oogie Boogie. The Nightmare Before Christmas has been presented at the Hollywood Bowl several times before, with Phoebe Bridgers and Billie Eilish as Sally.
