Looking for a fun homemade gift or Christmas decoration?   Create your own snow globe!   This craft is fun and simple for the entire family… Here’s a simple guide to help you make your own snow globe:

**Materials:**
1. A clear glass or plastic jar with a tight-sealing lid
2. A small figurine or decoration for the inside of the globe
3. Distilled water
4. Glycerin (available at most craft stores)
5. Glitter or fake snow
6. Waterproof adhesive (such as epoxy or waterproof glue)
7. Optional: Waterproof sealant (to ensure the globe is securely sealed)

**Instructions:**

1. **Select a Jar:**
– Choose a clear jar with a tight-sealing lid. Make sure it’s clean and dry.

2. **Select a Figurine:**
– Choose a small figurine or decoration that you want to place inside the snow globe. It could be a mini Christmas tree, a plastic toy, or any other waterproof item.

3. **Attach the Figurine:**
– Use waterproof adhesive to securely attach the figurine to the inside of the jar lid. Let it dry completely.

4. **Add Water and Glycerin:**
– Fill the jar almost to the top with distilled water, leaving a little space at the top. Add a few drops of glycerin (this helps the snow or glitter fall more slowly). You can experiment with the glycerin amount to achieve the desired snowfall effect.

5. **Add Glitter or Snow:**
– Add a pinch of glitter or fake snow to the water. You can use different colors and sizes to create a visually appealing effect.

6. **Seal the Jar:**
– Carefully place the lid with the attached figurine onto the jar and seal it tightly. Ensure there are no leaks. You can add a layer of waterproof sealant around the edge of the lid before closing for extra security.

7. **Shake and Enjoy:**
– Shake the snow globe gently to see the snow or glitter fall around the figurine. Adjust the amount of glitter or snow if needed.

8. **Optional Decorations:**
– If you like, you can decorate the outside of the jar with ribbons, paint, or other craft materials to make it more festive.

Remember to test your snow globe to ensure it’s sealed properly and won’t leak. If you notice any leaks, you may need to reseal the jar using additional adhesive or sealant. Once your snow globe is complete, you’ll have a personalized decoration to enjoy during the holiday season or as a charming piece of décor.
