Sudbury M-P-P Glenn Thibeault Named Ontario's Energy Minister

A promotion for Sudbury’s M-P-P.

Glenn Thibeault is Ontario’s new energy minister in Premier Kathleen Wynne’s shuffled cabinet.

Thibeault left the federal N-D-P and was hand-picked by Wynne to run as a provincial Liberal in the scandal-tainted Sudbury byelection last year.

The cabinet increase from 27 to 30 members with 40% now made up of women.

The shakeup comes two years before the next election in June 2018.
